I know I’m not alone in feeling like the waves have been knocking me about lately.
Coming up for air, just to get my bearings, and then another wave rolls in.
And yet, there is something so magnificent about the immersion. Something so cleansing, so freeing, so exhilarating.
Something so wildly human about the ride that we can’t quite get a full grasp of. But we know it to be meaningful. We know there is something in it for us.
Each time in my life I’ve found myself feeling at a place similar to this, all my fears have floated to the surface, all of my worries have run through my mind, and yet, my soul whispers to tell me that it must mean something great is coming.
It must mean that more is on the horizon.
Because the universe alwayssss hands out the tests when we’re on the precipice of our next level. Just to make sure we’re ready.
And when the waves come crashing in and it feels like too much, remember how far you’ve come. Remember how you once felt like this before, and you overcame, you grew, you blossomed.
Remember that after the dark, there is always light.
Remember how worthy you are. And how much you have to be proud of. Not for what you do, but for who you are.
And then, take a deep breath, ride the next wave, and remember that it will be calm once more. And next time, you’ll be able to ride those waves even more smoothly
